startups a year to work with. The International Technology company, looks at startups internationally, in places such as India, Silicon Valley, the United Kingdom and Israel, under a programme called TechM Next to develop technologies that create new markets.

After looking at between 300 and 400 startups, the company works with venture capital
companies in a process to zero in on 20 to 30 startups. “We don’t work with startups which are in the incubation level, rather focus on startups who have few clients and achieved a bit of a scale and we take them to our plethora of customers,” Chief Marketing Officer at Tech Mahindra, Jagdish Mitra said.

The startups considered by the company will come from field including networking, communication technology and virtual reality and those chosen will work toward developing products in sectors of manufacturing, financial services and healthcare, according to Mitra. In addition to working with more startups, the company will also invest in some. “The world is about being relevant to the market, and disruptive solutions in the way to remain relevant,” Mitra said. “Our customers are big companies who are constantly getting disrupted. So, we help them by bringing them solutions that they are able to leverage and compete in the marketplace and business.”
