NewCrop and The Co-Founder join hands to encourage startups

NewCrop, India’s only video-first digital media platform for startups, and The Co-Founder, the country’s first of its kind startup magazine, have entered into a content sharing agreement. With this collaboration, NewCrop and The Co-Founder, will showcase selected startups on both platforms. The startups that will be selected mutually.

NewCrop was founded by journalist-turned-media entrepreneur, Shutapa Paul in July 2016. For one year, NewCrop had partnered with NASSCOM’s 10,000 Startups initiative. The startup has garnered over a lakh people as audience via its various social media platforms, and has launched its website in December last year. The platform highlights stories and news from the world of startups, entrepreneurs, and the new economy.

“This is an exciting collaboration and perhaps the first-of-its-kind among media startups. We could not have asked for a better partner than The Co-Founder, which has been revolutionizing the print magazine space. Through this partnership we hope to provide a greater fillip in terms of media coverage to startups,” said Shutapa Paul, Founder-Editor, NewCrop.

Through this agreement, startups will have their stories told through the conventional medium of a print magazine as well as be able to create online buzz. “We came up with this plan as a way to provide a two-pronged approach to media coverage to all startups. NewCrop has a superb offering in terms of video and online stories, and has great traction in the digital space,” said Adhish Verma, CEO and Founder, The Co-Founder. The magazine has a circulation of over 50,000 every month and 30,000 subscribers.
