Accelerator programme by Oracle Cloud searching for next group of winning startups

Oracle Startup Cloud Accelerator, a programme launched Oracle Cloud last year to assist and support selected startups has begun accepting applications for its newest search round.

Oracle Cloud is a cloud-based service by Oracle Corporation. The startup accelerator program is one that gives chosen startups access to the company’s clientele, workspaces, mentorship, the latest technology, Oracle Cloud credits and the company’s investors and executives.

Startups based in or focused on technology qualify for the program which has accepted 40 startups from all over the world out of received applications in past rounds. Applications are due by June 15, 2018 for the second round of winning startups in Delhi and Mumbai and the fourth in Bengaluru, Economic Times reported.

“We look forward to working with more emerging companies in the thriving Indian startup market and are dedicated to continuing to build an ecosystem of co-development and co-innovation where startups, customers, and Oracle all win,” Reggie Bradford, Senior Vice President of Startup Ecosystem and Accelerator said in a statement.

The company’s research and development team run the accelerator program which has locations all over the world in places such as Mumbai, Singapore, Bengaluru, Austin, and Tel Aviv among others.

The company usually selects between five and six winning startups in each round and in the past has accepted five companies each from Delhi, Mumbai and Bengaluru. Original4sure, ChatterOn, Moneytor, StatDecisionLabs, and KiviHealth have all been selected for the Oracle Startup Cloud Accelerator in the past.

“The previous cohorts included tremendously talented startups creating innovative new products in areas ranging from healthcare, pharma, hospitality, marketing, finance and cyber security,” Bradford said.

In addition, the company has launched an international virtual program to assist startups regardless of location and stage called the Oracle Scale-Up Ecosystem.
