Matrix Partners India invests in Anaek, a chatbot developer

Chatbot developer, Anaek Inc., has raised an investment from Matrix Partners India, a venture capital firm that has been active for over 11 years.

The startup provides companies with the chatbots developed on a free trial basis, with charges after the set time period. The companies chatbots fill a variety of needs such as human resources.

The undisclosed amount invested by Matrix Partners India is seed funding for Anaek Inc, according to the co-founder of Anaek Inc, Kanav Abrol. The chatbots from the company go through services such as Slack, a company with an app store where Anaek’s chatbots are listed.

“Companies usually maintain physical records of attendance in a book or on tools like Microsoft Excel,” Abrol said. “Using Slack, we are doing all these functions in real time, and attendance details can be pulled up anytime.”

According to Abrol, 60 percent of Slack’s daily 6 million users, come from the US. The company’s current available chatbots are AttendanceBot, OfficeAmp, and ExprenseTron.

Founded by Abrol and Ujjwal Grover in 2017, the startup currently works with 1,000 companies, Abrol said. They use social media platforms and Slack’s app store to reach customers. With ten current employees and a presence in 60 countries, Anaek Inc., plans to use the funds for marketing and job growth.
