16 companies have come out the other end of a year-long startup accelerator program called SAP Startup Studio.
“We are working to nurture and build a strong startup ecosystem in India by providing best in class infrastructure, expert mentorship and networking opportunities startups need to become successful,” Dilipkumar Khandelwal, Managing Director of SAP Labs India, said in a statement, as reported by Economic Times. “As part of that effort, the Startup Social is meant to give these startups direct access to meaningfully engage with the leading ecosystem think tanks and the investor community in India.”
The accelerator program was launched and is run in Bengaluru by SAP SE to help selected startup grow in their field. The recent 16 startups are part of the second round by the SAP Startup Studio. While in the program, AI-based Entropik Technologies raised a $1.1 million Pre-Series A round.
“Partnering with SAP provided us a platform to accelerate our growth, Founder and CEO of Entropik, Ranjankumar said. “In the one year of incubation we had access to SAP’s technology mentors, sharpened our go to market strategy and benefited through the multiple connects and learnings from the startup ecosystem that SAP Startup Studio facilitated.”
SAP SE launched the program in July 2016. The company also has an online platform which assists in business-based problems and solutions using a combination of technologies, which some of the newly graduated startups will be working on. The platform is called SAP Leonardo.
As part of the program, startups which graduate can continue to work on products, services and other aspects with the company, as well as can receive assistance from SAP.
“We have gained significantly by being a part of the SAP’s startup accelerator program,” Monis Khan, CEO of Datoin said.
