Indonesian startup working with loyalty programs, Member.id raises new funds

A travel-focused startup based in Jakarta, Member.id, raises new investment round to further develop services and products, according to a company statement.

“We are currently building a consumer facing product which can be used not only for point management but also point conversion across rewards programs,” Marianne Rumantir, CEO and Co-Founder of Member.id said, as reported by Deal Street Asia. “The second product underway is a loyalty product which specifically caters to SME clients.”

The startup works with companies to help with loyalty services specifically among other services. According to Member.id, the startup is working to create a new product to better assist companies among other things.

The Indonesian startup previously raised a seed round in August 2017, which saw participation from Ismaya Group and East Ventures.The startup caters to businesses in a wide variety of fields including hotels, e-commerce and transportation, among others.

East Ventures and Ace Capital are among the investors in the Pre-Series A investment round with East Ventures leading the funding.

In Indonesia, there are very few companies that effectively invest in the knowledge of their customer preferences and behaviors, leaving customer loyalty as a myth in the country,” Willson Cuaca from East Ventures said.

Member.id has a wide customer base which includes companies such as The Ismaya Group and Syah Establishment.
