An Internet of Things startup’s newest development could help sanitize essential buildings such as hospitals to aid in the Covid-19 pandemic.
The sanitizing machine developed by BridgeThings IoT, uses UV-C technologies to kill infectants including viruses and bacteria, among others, and preventing them from reproducing. The device works by connecting to the cloud.
The product was presented to Telangana’s Minister of IT, KT Rama Rao, the state’s Principal Secretary of IT, Jayesh Ranjan, as reported by Telangana Today. BridgeThingsIoT is among students at the Marri Laxman Reddy Incubation center in Hyderabad.
The UVC-based solution can be set to work automatically and can be operated wirelessly while bringing down costs for such a product. The device can also be monitored and controlled via a computer as it operates.
The Hyderabad-based startup’s device is now being studied, as per Rao, with effort put into the implementation of the product in hospitals and other essential areas.
BridgeThing IoT was founded in 2017 and focuses its efforts on energy efficiency.
