Alodokter raises undisclosed funding for its digital healthcare services

Jakarta-based healthcare startup, Alodokter, raises a new investment round for its online platform and mobile app services.

The startup provides users with a digital platform with a variety of health tech services, articles of medical information, among other options. Services the startup provides include online booking, virtual appointments, digital pharmacy options, and health insurance options and information, among others.

The startup’s platform currently has around 43,000 doctors and sees approximately 500,000 interactions between doctors and patients per month.

“We believe that enabling better healthcare through technology has become more critical than ever,” Co-founder and Director at Alodokter, Suci Arumsari said, as reported by Deal Street Asia.

The new investment round will be put toward expansion and growth plans, as well as adding products and services to the startup’s offerings. Alodokter was founded by Arumsari and Nathanael Faibis in July 2014. The Indonesian startup has around 30,000 active users on its platform per month.

“The expansion we carried out is always focused on providing fast, accurate, and reliable consumer experience on the Alodokter platform,” Faibis said, Deal Street Asia reported.

Investors in the current undisclosed funding round include MDI Ventures and Samsung Ventures.
