French home improvement startup, ManoMano, raises $355 mn investment

Ecommerce marketplace, ManoMano, raises a new investment round worth $355 million for its platform focused on home improvement projects in various areas. 

The Paris-based startup provides a marketplace where users can purchase a variety of products for their home including gardening needs, construction materials, tools and equipment, furniture and plumbing, among others. The startup’s platform also provides informational resources such as articles and advisors for customers to communicate with. 

Investors in the Series F round include Dragoneer Investment Group, Temasek, General Atlantic, Eurazeo, Large Venture fund, Aglaé Ventures, Kismet Holdings and Armat Group, among others. 

The company was founded by Christian Raisson and Philippe de Chanville in June 2013 and has grown to a customer base of 7 million so far. ManoMano’s advising service also saw approximately 2.3 million interactions last year. 

Brands that have products available on ManoMano’s website include Schneider Electric, Tarkett, Bosch, Sika, Pradel, Duravit and Grohe, among others. 

The startup has established a presence in France, Spain, Italy, the U.K., Belgium and Germany, so far. ManoMano has future plans to focus its efforts on the logistics aspect of the company, as well as on product development.
