With plans for company growth, real estate startup ShweProperty has raised an unspecified dollar amount of funding. The funds span seven digits.

The Myanmar-based startup uses its portal to help buyers and renters connect with sellers and vice-versa. The company is led by CEO Justin Sway who founded Kaung Thu Win. In the leadership role of Managing Director is Kevin Goos, formerly CEO of Century 21 Cambodia.

“With the latest round of funding, we intend to increase the incredible traction we have already achieved, and focus on increased operations in all facets of our advanced Property Portal business model,” Goos said as reported by Deal Street Asia. “The team is 100 percent committed to our future success, and I’m very excited to be personally investing financially in the business too.”

The recent round raised by the company saw participation from Vostok New Ventures and Goos himself. The round was led by a fund based in the UK whose name was not disclosed.

“We are very delighted to welcome Vostok New Ventures to the ShweProperty family, and we look forward to working with them and the other very experienced shareholders to continue to dominate the Myanmar market,” Sway said.

Swedish investment firm, Vostok New Ventures has seen Avito, PropertyFinder.ae and Hemnet as previous investments.

“We are delighted to be investing in the #1 Property Portal in Myanmar,” Vostok CEO Per Brilioth said. “They have strongest management team for online classifieds in the country, and their business traction is truly extraordinary. We look forward to working with the ShweProperty team to further grow and support their business.”

According to the company, ShweProperty has 100,000 listings on its portal and has seen a previous investment from Sway himself.
