Pune-based ImaginXP raises $1.5 mn investment for its learning platform

Higher education and digital learning startup, ImaginXP, raises a new investment round worth $1.5 million. 

Since the startup’s founding in 2013, ImaginXP has provided users and partners with an online platform focused on providing learning opportunities virtually, using online features and tools. 

The startup’s online degree programs see approximately 2,500 students so far. ImaginXP offers a range of degrees through partnerships with different colleges and universities, as well as a list of certifications. 

“ImaginXP is partnering with universities to give them access to a world-class curriculum with an industry-partnered delivery model,” ImaginXP’s Director-General, Shishir Kumar said, as reported by Economic Times. 

The Pune-based startup also provides a mentorship platform called the ‘MyCoach’ platform, helping users reach companies in order to gain mentors or other career-building opportunities. The MyCoach platform has seen around 15,000 users, so far. 

Investors in the current round include Venture Catalysts, Shashank Deshpande, Krish Kupatjil and Samyakth Capital, among others. 

“The MyCoach platform with such a huge captive TAM [total addressable market] and online degrees has digitally accelerated the company to three times growth trajectory over the last two years,” Venture Catalysts Co-Founder, Anuj Golecha said, ET reported. 

Degrees offered by the education startup include Bachelor of Design, BBA, MBA, BSc, BTech and Master of Design, among others. 

Blockchain, Python, Core Java and C++ language are among certifications available on the edtech platform, so far. ImaginXP has established a presence in 13 cities including Pune, Noida, Bengaluru, Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata and Jaipur, among others. 

The new $1.5 million pre-series A investment round will be used to continue growing the educational offerings provided by the platform.
