Singapore-based e-commerce startup, Rainforest Life, raises $20 mn investment

Rainforest Life raises new pre-series A investment round worth $20 million for its service in purchasing and growing e-commerce businesses. 

The startup was founded in 2020 by Jason Tan, JJ Chai and Per Ola Röst, before officially launching the business in January of 2021. The Singapore-based startup has raised total funding worth $56 million, since the company’s founding. 

Rainforest Life works to grow and scale e-commerce companies through a variety of operational methods including monitoring inventory and product and expanding services and the business’ geographical presence. 

Investors in the round include Monk’s Hill Ventures, January Capital, Crossbeam Venture Partners, Amasia, Lo & Behold Group, Nordstar and Iansignia Venture Partners. 

The e-commerce aggregator has bought and worked with six companies since its founding, and has formed partnerships with Insignia Venture Partners and Nordstar, so far. The startup focuses its acquisitions on e-commerce companies within the direct-to-commerce sector, or those in the fulfillment by Amazon section.
